The live action movie hit cinemas on March 17th. And we've been talking about it ever since...

In case you haven’t noticed, the live action version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast has well and truly arrived. And we’re OB-SESSED.
Yup. As well as accepting every single cinema invitation to go and watch it again and again (well, it would be rude to leave a friend to go and watch it alone, right?) we’ve also had the soundtrack on repeat and we’ve re-watched the ’90s cartoon classic a few times too.
Don’t judge us.

One of the best things about the new release – as we’re sure any Disney fan will attest – is that it stays true to the animated original.
The new plot twists add depth to the much-loved characters, without taking away from the storylines we already knew and loved.
One of the biggest developments in the story – aside from Belle’s heartbreaking news about her mother – came when we discovered that the villagers in the poor provincial town were actually family members of the cursed servants in Beast’s castle.

The story seems to confirm that the spell was in effect for a number of years, yet it appears that the servants didn’t age.
So, as Buzzfeed reports, someone has pointed that the villagers appear to be around the same age as the castle’s residents. Yup, we lived for the reunion of Mr and Mrs Potts at the end.
One internet user has come up with a theory that could explain this. And it’s SO CLEVER.
Reddit user Hainted reportedly explains: ‘The village of Villaneuve is caught in the Enchantress’ curse as well. It’s stated outright that she erased the memories of the Prince, his lands, and servants from the villagers’ minds, but if you pay attention she also locked the village in a time loop.’
MINDS = BLOWN.
And it doesn’t stop there.
The theory also encompasses Belle’s song, Little Town. You know the one; it’s where Belle first wanders through the village, perfectly describing the scene in front of her.
In fact, she’s got the butcher, the baker and the town’s folk down to a T. It’s almost as if she’s seen it all before…
Because, perhaps the village is STUCK IN TIME?
But why wouldn’t Belle and her father be affected, we hear you ask. Well, they moved in after the whole curse drama happened.
Neat, huh?!
