When it comes to celebrities standing up to Donald Trump, Scarlett Johansson is one of the many A-list stars that have made her feelings on the current President very clear.
Johansson spoke passionately at the women’s march in Washington about the threat to Planned Parenthood under a Trump administration, and she is now addressing the issue from a different angle.
Appearing on Saturday Night Live to promote her new movie Ghost In The Shell, Johansson mocked the President’s daughter in a lol-worthy video.
Playing the part of Ivanka Trump, Johansson starred in a parody perfume commercial for the fragrance ‘Complicit’.
Dubbed ‘the fragrance for the woman that could stop all of this, but won’t,’ the video highlights how Ivanka has stood back as let her father get away with his actions.
As Johansson strolls through a glamorous black-tie event, the narrator introduces the first daughter, saying: ‘she’s beautiful, she’s powerful, she’s complicit’.
‘She’s a woman who knows what she wants, and knows what she’s doing,’ the advert continues.
Poking fun at her feminist credentials, the advert does not hold back at laying into Ivanka.
‘A feminist. A champion. An advocate for women. Like…how?’ the narrator asks.
‘She’s loyal. Devoted. Probably should have bounced after that whole Access Hollywood bus thing,’ it continues.
Then as the voice asks ‘she doesn’t crave the spotlight but we see her’, Johansson looks in the mirror and staring back is Trump himself.
