Woah. So Hollyoaks’ Bombhead Looks TOTALLY Different Now

Actor Lee Otway has had one seriously sizzling makeover...

Ah, Hollyoaks. We spent many a post-sixth form afternoon catching up on the antics of Chester’s finest.

There was John Paul and Craig’s romance (still one of the best storylines in TV history, in our opinion), Max’s death (*sob*) and, of course, evil rapist Andy being impaled on a spike.

Yep. It’s safe to say things never went down quietly in the village.

One of the characters dearest to our hearts was David ‘Bombhead’ Burke, who was played by actor Lee Otway. He was Lee Hunter’s best mate, and while a little quirky, he had a total heart of gold.

Bombhead left our screens in 2005, when he joined the circus to live with his father. Because, of course.

But what is Lee up to these days? Well, now 35, he’s still in the biz – and is looking quite different.

In fact, he’s hotter than ever, recently debuting a hunky new bod after hitting the gym for an upcoming theatre roll. We mean…

Lee tells Inside Soap: ‘I was cast in a play, and the character had been written as being quite buff.

‘I wanted to do a decent job, so I realised I was going to have to get off my backside and get into shape. I wanted to do the character justice.’

Fans definitely seem to think he’s done a decent job, with Tweets including: ‘@LeeOtway went from bombhead 2 the bomb ,’ and: ‘.’

And that’s not all he’s been up to over the past decade. He’s made appearances in TV shows including The Syndicate, Stars In The Eyes, Celebrity Love Island and Soapstar Superstar, as well as spin-off Hollyoaks: Freshers.

After seeing these new snaps, we’re up for an ‘Oaks return. STAT.
