After the birth of Liam Payne's son last month, the 23-year-old singer says he's 'very happy' for his bandmate
Harry Styles has spoken out about Liam Payne and Cheryl’s baby boy for the first time.
The 23-year-old singer – who debuted his (INCREDIBLY catchy) solo single Sign Of The Times this morning – isn’t sure if he’ll be named a godfather, but he could be in the running.

Harry Styles may be in the running for a godfather title…
He tells Manchester radio station Key 103: ‘I’m not going to add any extra pressure. If it came my way I would be honoured. I think it’s a roll of the dice, there are a lot of people Liam has in mind.’
Aw. We couldn’t think of anything sweeter than the 1D lads taking such an important role in Payne Jr’s life, but we imagine both Liam, 23, and Cheryl have an extensive list they’re whittling down.
They’re yet to release the name of their little one, so we guess they could pay tribute there instead. Harry Niall Louis Simon Cowell Payne, perhaps?! Anyone want to pass that onto Chiam?

Whatever the case, Harry is clearly thrilled for his bandmate.
He continues: ‘I spoke to Liam and he’s loving it. He said it’s going really well and everyone’s great. So I’m very happy for him.’
Liam and Cheryl, 33, announced the birth of their son two weeks ago, with Chezza captioning an adorable snap of Liam cradling the newborn: ‘On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever 
.’
