Remember Charlie Jones? He's now 20, and we've found his Instagram...

EastEnders‘ Ben Mitchell has gone through quite a few face transplants over the years.
The son of Phil Mitchell and Kathy Beale, five actors have played the character since his birth in 1996. But the first time he really came to our attention was when Charlie Jones took over the role, back in 2006.

Charlie Jones (pictured here with Jamie Borthwick) played Ben Mitchell from 2006-2010
Charlie left Albert Square in 2010, leaving Joshua Pascoe to step into his shoes. He’s now played by Harry Reid, who arrived in Walford in 2014.
But what happened to Charlie? Well, it’s been seven years since he appeared on our screens, and things are pretty different now.
We mean, Cheryl’s had a baby with Liam Payne, Article 50 has been triggered and Donald Trump is President of the United States. Another thing that’s completely changed is… CHARLIE’S FACE.
Okay, so we know he’s seven years older. But when we found him on Instagram, we barely recognised him.

Now 20, Charlie is all grown-up – and looking very dapper.
He’s still in the ‘biz, currently training as an actor at the Academy Of Live And Recorded Arts. And it seems like he’s having lots of fun, recently captioning a snap of himself and a pal in shirts and braces: ‘A high intensity police chase followed this picture… great time filming comedy scenes this week .’
He’s also been channelling David Jason’s Del Boy, writing alongside an image of himself in a sheepskin coat: ‘Guess which Only Fools and Horses scene we remade today…’
It’s odd seeing him sans those famous glasses, but it’s great to see that he’s doing well.
We’re excited to see what you get up to next, Charlie!
